Okay so let’s talk about the actual Marvalous business opportunity.  It seems from their website that they really try to promote a sense of unity within the company with the whole tribal feel. I really like that concept because in network marketing, especially Internet marketing there can be a real heavy feeling of being alone sometimes.  So it’s great to be surrounded by a network of fellow distributors that are willing to help a new member.  I also liked the fact that they have multiple products to choose from to earn your commissions.  What I didn’t like is that there aren’t any videos on the main website, I personally would like a little bit more interaction and information on the products and services. I’m sure with a little research I could figure it out but that would mean that I’d have to leave the website.

The compensation plan is a 1X10 expanding matrix, if that means something to you then more power to ya but I couldn’t figure it out.  I just hope Morpheus isn’t going to be there asking me to take the red or blue pill.

As far as the marketing side of Marvalous, it seems that they have a big push with social media.  Where they say that you already have this huge list of people around you so you should have no problem recruiting.  

This goes for any MLM, if you love the products and you see yourself loving the products for a long time, it would probably be a great opportunity for you.  With an international push in 2011, Marvalous has a lot of room for growth.  So the sky could be the limit for them with the right distributor!

Using Facebook for lead generation has become the latest trend in the pay-per-click world of internet marketing. I’m not going to talk about that. What I do want to talk about is a few strategies that result in free leads for your home business. An unsolicited flow of prospects that want your products and or services.

Facebook lead generation ideas that are not pay-per-click…..

1) Constructing Facebook Fan-page can be a great way to begin connecting with prospects, but only if you are providing value, i.e. free access to webinars, free e-books, and any other free or low cost training. These things establish excellent value for a fan-page. It takes some time building up trust and relationships with your facebook list, people generally do not care about your business as much as you do. I know that I hate spam so if your stuff looks too spammy or business-like, people will just skim right by your messages. But if there is a face that they can put with the message, it sets you apart from the rest of the unbranded messages they will be bombarded with, especially if they are in the mlm industry. Which brings me to my next Facebook lead generation point.

2) Personal branding is essential for Facebook lead generation. The more YOU the better! Like stated previously, putting a face to the message is a key factor in building a following. It is called Facebook right? Not Logo-book! I get tons of requests to become fans and I accepted them all at first, but all of the sudden I was bombarded in my inbox with faceless messages. I watch my friend feed and I see all of this interaction, but I have no idea who is the owner of the “The Greatest Most Fantastic Home Business MLM Opportunity Ever Invented” Facebook fan-page. (Sorry if that’s yours, I didn’t bother checking). But you get the point, branding your fan-page with yourself is essential in the Facebook lead generating game.

3) Getting people to join your fan-page in the first place can be a tough sell in the beginning so I suggest joining groups. The more groups you join, the more friend requests you’re going to get from people in those groups. I know there are some limits so keep it simple and low key. Facebook is watching and they will ban you forever for being stupid with friend adding. Another way I built up my friend list is through twitter. I simply have an automated direct message that goes out to anyone who follows me and then they are prompted to follow me on Facebook as well. It’s super easy and on a good day, I get friend requests from around 25 people that were looking for me and the same goes for fan pages. You can follow tons of people on twitter as long as you follow their 10% rule, each of those people will have a chance to follow you on Facebook too!

4) Integrating your social media accounts is also key. I do not recommend blasting your Facebook feed with twitter though because I’ve seen some people tweeting every couple minutes or more with their websites and that will get you banned on Facebook as well.

These are just some strategies that I incorporate into my business and they work great for Facebook lead generation! Whether you decide to use Facebook for a marketing strategy or you have decided that it is a waste of your time, is completely up to you.

Marketing Your Business On Facebook - 3 Golden Rules

I've seen A LOT of habitual violators of these rules. It may seem harmless at the time, but breaking them can erase hours, even days of hard work that you've put in to building your Facebook presence.

When it comes to marketing your business on Facebook, there are a few Golden Rules you should absolutely follow to guarantee that you don't get shut down or reported to the Facebook police.

So without further ado, here are the golden rules for marketing your business on Facebook.

Stop pitching on your Facebook status updates, no-one is going to read it anyway. If they do read it, there is a high probability that it will be falling on deaf ears. I'm friends with a ton of network marketers and internet marketers and I have at least 10 pitches a day showing up in my news feed. Guess what? No comments, and the only who likes their posts is them! It seems sad but I see it everyday.

No Spamming! There are several tactics that could be considered spammy when marketing your business on Facebook but this is the biggest one I see on a consistent basis. Posting your opportunities or products on fellow marketers' walls. That crap has got to stop! As a marketer I get a lot of folks trying to reach larger audiences by posting on my wall. I sometimes let it slide if they're on my personal team but habitual violators will be reported! And if I don't know them, it's on like Donkey Kong! I will report them so fast it's almost criminal on my part. That's my personal space and I take a lot pride in what I want shared there.

Last but not least, provide value! When you're out there surfing around and seeking opportunities for marketing your business on Facebook, start sharing what you've learned. Even if you've only been in the industry for a few days I'm sure that you had some take-aways from your orientation or business introduction that could possibly help someone else new to the industry. You don't have to get "leads" the first day, especially on Facebook. Facebook is a "social network". That means be social, take your marketing hat off and build some relationships. I promise you, it will pay off big-time in the long run. Stay plugged in to your training and just share what you learned!

Here's a hint, Facebook does allow spamming and pitching but it's in the form of paid advertising. Is Scarcity Marketing Unethical?

Scarcity marketing in some circles is considered unethical. This article is here to dispel that rumor and set the record straight.

First things first, what is scarcity marketing?

Well the short version is, it's when you use the power of having a limited amount of time, a limited number of spaces, to lock in your discount, or a limited amount of a physical product to boost your sales results. When presented with scarcity marketing, there is a little switch that gets triggered in the brain that increases the likelihood of you completing the transaction. Sound familiar?

Here are some big companies and websites you may not realize that utilize scarcity marketing.

• Ticketmaster (or any avenue in which to buy concert tickets) Every single show has a limited number tickets available. SOLD OUT! Ever met face to face with that sign?
• eBay (that little timer that taunts you at every single auction)
• Your favorite sports team (limited number of games and seats)

That's just to name a few, I'm sure if you think about it, you can come up with a few of your own. Are all of those companies unethical? I don't think so, it's just clever marketing.

Why do people think scarcity marketing is so unethical?

Well I think that people might think that because they themselves have felt duped or mislead by some scarcity marketing techniques. If that was your experience, I know how you feel. I too have been marketed to in this way. But when I really think about, my experience wasn't all that bad, in fact the scarcity marketing worked exactly how it was supposed to. I've even scored some super discounts by claiming a "fast-mover's bonus" or a free upgrade with that "one-time offer". However, I do feel that there is an unethical way to use scarcity marketing. Most people who would use it for unethical purposes I would consider to be generally unethical people anyway. So I steer clear of any red flags that I might have seen and stick with companies and individuals I know, like, and trust.

Can you use scarcity marketing in an ethical way?

I'd say a resounding yes! There is no harm on limiting the amount of time or product you make available to your customers. In fact here are some reasons why you should use scarcity in your marketing.

• To not over-saturate the marketplace with your product or offer
• Promotions
• A limit on the amount of product that you have available to you
• During your product launches
• For your customers if you market other people's products
• Affiliate marketing

So you see, using scarcity in your marketing can be done in an ethical way. If done correctly, scarcity marketing can have a huge impact on your sales and conversions! P.S.
